Dirty Dozen Brass Band and Soul Rebels to Play Interlocking Set at Interlocken

The Interlocken Event has declared that two famous New Orleans groups, The Spirit Rebels and Unclean Number of Steel Group, will play only one interlock set on Saturday, Sept 6 in between the Beginning Dads and Jimmy Cliff’s places.

Trumpet gamer Gregory Davis of the Unclean Number of Steel Group uses a New Orleans-centric example to explain their 35 years of making music: “It finishes up being like a pot of gumbo – you fall in a little okra, fall in a little shrimp, you fall in some crabs. Before you know it, you have combined in all these different substances and you have got a wonderful broth. 

That was our strategy to music beginning on and it still is these days.” An hunger for musicological experience, a dedication to respect custom while not being restricted by it, and a proper and balanced spontaneity have introduced the world-traveling Unclean Number of Steel Group to this amazing point in an already varied profession. 

The Spirit Rebels proceed planning new area these days. Known as “the losing weblink between Community Attacker and Louis Armstrong” by the Town Speech, the Spirit Rebels merge topnotch musicianship and music with lines that enjoy life in time-honored New Orleans design.The Unclean Number of Steel Group and The Spirit Rebels will carry some New Orleans taste to a collection that already contains Neil Younger & Insane Equine, Furthur (three nights), Extensive Anxiety (two night time, along with a set with David Fogerty seated in),
