Being Mary Jane relationship dramas

Is BET the new home for connection dramas? Between The Activity and Let's Remain Together, the system is continuously creating a status of scripted sequence in that world. Now comes its newest providing, Being Linda Jane, a durable new sequence featuring Gabrielle Partnership, that — in somewhat of a leaving from the other reveals — is less about being in a connection than it is about being without one.

Put together by the manufacturers behind The Activity and Moving the Brush, Being Linda Jane moves around Partnership as a effective TV core who is considered down by her not-so-fulfilling individual life. Along with the end of her newest romantic endeavors — which fizzles after she discovers that the man she is been connecting up with is actually wedded — Linda discovers herself regularly overwhelmed with close relatives obligations, such as an troubled mom, a regularly split sibling, and a cousin who keeps taking out children. Through it all, Linda just wants some company. The twist? She understands it may not be a man she needs, but instead a child.

The tale may audio like a saying rom-com, but be confident this is not the small-screen edition of The Back Up Strategy...at least not entirely. Peppered with appealing Beyonce music and appropriate pop-culture sources (Mary has a status time frame to look at Vengeance with her BFF), the lead is amazingly crazy, clean, and impacting. Much of the credit score goes to Partnership, who controls to catch her character's individual gal despondency without creating her appear poor or desperate, even as the tale — no spoilers — requires a bit of a far-fetched convert toward the end of the sequence releasing film.
Jane will come back to BET as a sequence sometime in 2014. It's a hold out — but supposing the display is regularly on the stay up to its lead — I'm willing to keep around to find out just how Being Linda Jane dishes out.
